Meet our people.

For over 200 years we have been tending to the needs of our clients and our success is built on the strength of our people. It’s not just their specialist knowledge, but their desire to do the right thing that makes our clients trust us in helping them to support their wealth needs.

A culture of caring.
Our business is built on long-term, effective relationships based on trust and we care about our people because they genuinely care for our clients. We support, acknowledge and reward those who share our values of integrity, commitment and excellence, and not just within the work environment.

Colleagues are encouraged to get involved in supporting charities and every member of the team is able to take a day’s paid leave every year for voluntary activity that supports the community or their chosen charity.

Our 2023 gender pay gap report can be downloaded in the link below.

To demonstrate our commitment to increasing female representation in our senior roles we have signed up to the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter. As part of this commitment, we set an objective to increase the number of women in senior management positions within the business to 25% by December 2020, we are delighted to report that we have hit this target. We are now working to increase this to 40% of women in senior management positions by December 2024.
Diversity & Inclusion is a key business priority for us and we will continue to work to ensure Brown Shipley is a positive workplace for people from all backgrounds and where colleagues have the freedom to be their true selves.
