He previously held a voluntary role as Chairperson of the Private Client Investment Managers Group for Scottish Enterprise, helping to develop talent, skills and opportunities across the profession in Scotland. Nicholas Harvey serves as Group CFO and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank. Most recently Deputy CEO of Precision Capital, Harvey earlier served as Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board at Amlin Europe. He also advised banks and insurers across Europe for 10 years as a consultant with McKinsey. English by birth but raised in Belgium, Harvey graduated from Louvain University in Belgium and holds an MBA from Kellogg in the United States.
Anthony Swings serves as Head of the Office of the Group CEO and member of the Group Executive Committee at Quintet Private Bank, a position he assumed in 2021. Earlier, he served as Group Chief Risk Officer, supervising staff in Luxembourg and across the firm’s network. A Belgian national who earned his degree in civil engineering at the University of Liège, Swings began his career at ING in Brussels as an IT project manager focused on the implementation of market risk management tools. He joined Quintet in 2002 in a similar capacity. Over the following decade, he assumed increasingly senior positions in the Risk department at Quintet.
Fiona became CRO for Brown Shipley in July 2020, a member of the Brown Shipley Executive Committee with direct responsibility for the Financial, Credit and Operational risk teams . Fiona joined the business from Quilter Investors where she was CRO, responsible for the building of the risk and compliance functions and supporting development of the multi-asset business. Prior to joining Quilter Investors, Fiona spent 8 years at Henderson Global Investors as Head of Operational Risk and Deputy CRO, and 7 years at JPMorgan investment bank in a number of risk and project related roles. Fiona holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from Edinburgh University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Robert joined Brown Shipley over 25 years ago and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for the Bank in October 2012. As a member of the Brown Shipley Executive Committee he has day to day responsibility for the Operations, IT, Facilities Management and Transformation teams. For the five years prior to this, he had management responsibility for the firm’s client facing teams. He also has an extensive background in Credit and has headed the firm’s Risk Management and Internal Audit functions.

Elizabeth leads the London and International client relationship teams. She is responsible for new business development, ensuring clients are provided with a fully-integrated wealth management service tailored to their individual needs. Elizabeth brings 20 years' of wealth management experience to Brown Shipley, having previously worked for UBS in London where she was a Managing Director. Elizabeth was also a long-standing board member of the UBS pension trustee company.

Appointed CFO in 2012, Andrew is a member of the Brown Shipley Executive Committee and has overall responsibility for Finance and Treasury at Brown Shipley. Andrew joined Brown Shipley in 2001 to become Head of Finance, joining from Fairmount Group where he was Financial Director of regulated subsidies. Along with over 25 years’ industry experience, Andrew also has a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Head of Legal Rehana is responsible for managing the Brown Shipley legal team and a permanent attendee at the UK Executive Committee and Board meetings. Rehana previously spent 8 years at Tilney, where she played a significant role in the company, including recently advising on its merger with Smith & Williamson. Rehana further advised on 12 acquisitions and disposals in her time at Tilney. Previously, she was Group General Counsel at Towry, prior to its merger with Tilney. Before this, she held legal roles at WorldSpreads and at Duke Street Private Equity.
Ian is Chief of Staff and works closely with the CEO to drive strategic planning and design, and supports the BSCO Leadership Team in delivery of key strategic initiatives across the business. Ian joined Brown Shipley in March 2021 and has over 18 years’ experience delivering and overseeing transformation and change within financial services. He has held senior change roles in Barclays and Standard Life.

Maria is a corporate communications professional with a background in media relations and internal communications. Throughout her career, she has focused on financial services and has more than 15 years’ experience in this sector. Prior to Brown Shipley, Maria led internal communications at Coutts and was also seconded to oversee communications on the bank ring-fencing project and before this was part of the media team. Maria has an agency background and has worked for FTI and for HeadLand.

A highly experienced financial professional in the Court of Protection and personal injury field, qualified as both a chartered financial planner and a chartered investment adviser, and with a career spanning more than 20 years. At Julius Baer he was Head of Relationship Management, with overall management responsibility for growing the regional businesses in Yorkshire and the North East. Prior to this, Martin was a Regional Director at Barclays Wealth holding roles as Head of the Yorkshire Office and subsequently Head of the North East team.

Mark joined Brown Shipley in June 2022 to lead and develop the firm’s business across Scotland and Northern Ireland. He previously spent 14 years with Barclays, where he was latterly head of the private bank business in Scotland. Mark oversaw ultra high net worth client activity as well as charities and universities, with a particular emphasis on sustainable investing. Prior to Barclays, Mark had senior roles with Adam & Company and Clydesdale Bank. He has an honours degree in financial services from Edinburgh’s Napier University and is both a Chartered Banker and Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
James is an experienced advisor and has spent many years providing relationship based financial planning to private clients, businesses, charities and trusts. At Brown Shipley, James established a service dedicated to planning for retirement for clients wishing to understand how best to utilise the pensions, investments and other assets. He is also a Chartered Financial Planner and an elected Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Matt’s career began 20 years ago in the US, with a Midwest-based firm, who stressed the importance of building strong, personal relationships and always doing what is right for their clients. This ethos is still very much part of Matt’s business as a Client Director and the Head of the Edinburgh Office. Along with Gerard Wilson, they seek to understand what is important to families and advise them on the management of their multi-generational wealth. Matt is a Chartered Fellow with the CISI and a Chartered Financial Planner. He is married with two sons. When not in the office, he enjoys travelling, food & drink, and the occasional game of golf.

Rebecca joined Brown Shipley in October 2015; she provides advice on risk management, investments, retirement solutions, estate planning and lifetime cash flow planning. Rebecca has particular experience of using lifetime cash flow with clients to help structure their affairs tax efficiently and plan to meet future goals. Rebecca is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. Rebecca also holds the Society of Trust and Estate Planners Certificate.
