Calum Brewster

Calum Brewster

Calum has over 25 years’ financial services experience where he has previously held senior roles at Julius Baer, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group and Scottish Widows. He previously held a voluntary role as Chairperson of the Private Client Investment Managers Group for Scottish Enterprise, helping to develop talent, skills and opportunities across the profession in Scotland. He has an MBA from Edinburgh business school, Heriot-Watt University.

Chris Allen

Chris Allen

Chris Allen serves as Group CEO at Quintet Private Bank. Allen previously served as Head of Global Private Banking, EMEA, at HSBC. Over 15 years at that firm, he held a series of roles of increasing responsibility, including CEO, Alternative Investments, and CEO, HSBC Private Bank UK. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Director at Colliers Capital, where he focused on growing the firm’s fund management business, and as Head of Real Estate Fund Management at a major Middle East bank. Allen holds a degree and investment diploma from Sheffield, City and Cambridge universities.

Nicholas Harvey

Nicholas Harvey

Nicholas Harvey serves as Group CFO and member of the Authorized Management Committee at Quintet Private Bank. Most recently Deputy CEO of Precision Capital, Harvey earlier served as Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board at Amlin Europe. He also advised banks and insurers across Europe for 10 years as a consultant with McKinsey. English by birth but raised in Belgium, Harvey graduated from Louvain University in Belgium and holds an MBA from Kellogg in the United States.

Robert Kitchen

Robert Kitchen

Robert joined Brown Shipley over 25 years ago and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for the Bank in October 2012. As a member of the Brown Shipley Executive Committee he has day to day responsibility for the Operations, IT, Facilities Management and Transformation teams. For the five years prior to this, he had management responsibility for the firm’s client facing teams. He also has an extensive background in Credit and has headed the firm’s Risk Management and Internal Audit functions.

Gordon Scott

Gordon Scott

Gordon is Head of Private Bank North. Gordon brings over 25 years experience dealing with High Net Worth Private Clients and their families including senior roles with Julius Baer, Barclays and Kleinwort Benson. He is a Trustee for Right Track (Scotland) Ltd A Charity established to support young people who, as a result of many social and economic reasons, need support to engage in Training, Education or Employment.

Dominic Kohler

Dominic Kohler

Dominic is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Investment and Lending capabilities at Quintet’s UK subsidiary, Brown Shipley. With a decade of experience within the Quintet Group, including his prior role as Group Head of Offering, Dominic has a broad experience in developing and delivering solutions to private clients both in the UK and across Europe.

A Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Dominic is adept at solving complex problems and managing teams of specialists to deliver on our client’s objectives. Beyond his day-to-day role at Brown Shipley, Dominic has been instrumental in developing Quintet’s Graduate Programme and mentors through the Manchester Young Professionals network. He earned his MBA from Cranfield School of Management in 2019.

Cara Walters

Cara Walters

Cara brings more than two decades of HR experience in the UK and Asia, including in senior leadership roles.

She was most recently London-based Head of HR Business Partners & Head of HR Operations at Charles Stanley, supporting 900 colleagues across 22 UK offices. Earlier, she was Singapore-based Head of HR, Asia, at Coutts, where she focused on employee engagement and business change programmes.

Cara began her career in 2002 as an HR Business Partner at Deutsche Bank, then served in HR roles of increasing responsibility at firms such as Morgan Stanley, MF Global and AIG. She holds a degree in German from University College London.

Rehana Hasan

Rehana Hasan

Head of Legal Rehana is responsible for managing the Brown Shipley legal team and a permanent attendee at the UK Executive Committee and Board meetings. Rehana previously spent 8 years at Tilney, where she played a significant role in the company, including recently advising on its merger with Smith & Williamson. Rehana further advised on 12 acquisitions and disposals in her time at Tilney. Previously, she was Group General Counsel at Towry, prior to its merger with Tilney. Before this, she held legal roles at WorldSpreads and at Duke Street Private Equity.

Ian Morton

Ian Morton

Ian is Chief of Staff and works closely with the CEO to drive strategic planning and design, and supports the BSCO Leadership Team in delivery of key strategic initiatives across the business. Ian joined Brown Shipley in March 2021 and has over 18 years’ experience delivering and overseeing transformation and change within financial services. He has held senior change roles in Barclays and Standard Life.

Maria Shum

Maria Shum

Maria is a corporate communications professional with a background in media relations and internal communications. Throughout her career, she has focused on financial services and has more than 15 years’ experience in this sector.  Prior to Brown Shipley, Maria led internal communications at Coutts and was also seconded to oversee communications on the bank ring-fencing project and before this was part of the media team. Maria has an agency background and has worked for FTI and for HeadLand.

James Garman

James Garman

James is an experienced advisor and has spent many years providing relationship based financial planning to private clients, businesses, charities and trusts. At Brown Shipley, James established a service dedicated to planning for retirement for clients wishing to understand how best to utilise the pensions, investments and other assets. He is also a Chartered Financial Planner and an elected Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Philipp Iarmaltchouk

Philipp is responsible for establishing a FIM desk in the UK, as part of a wider Quintet offering, led by Stephan Matti, FIM Group Head. Philipp and his team aim to best serve EAMs and other intermediaries in the UK. Philipp brings 11 years' of wealth management experience and joins Brown Shipley from Julius Baer International, where he was a Director.

Matthew Hoyne

Matt’s career began 20 years ago in the US, with a Midwest-based firm, who stressed the importance of building strong, personal relationships and always doing what is right for their clients. This ethos is still very much part of Matt’s business as a Client Director and the Head of the Edinburgh Office. Along with Gerard Wilson, they seek to understand what is important to families and advise them on the management of their multi-generational wealth.  Matt is a Chartered Fellow with the CISI and a Chartered Financial Planner.  He is married with two sons.  When not in the office, he enjoys travelling, food & drink, and the occasional game of golf.

Warren Hastings

Warren Hastings

Warren, Co-Head of Investment & Group Head of Portfolio Management, brings almost 30 years of international investment experience, spanning institutional and private wealth client segments to Quinet Private Bank.

Warren served for the past dozen years at Credit Suisse, first in Asia and then for the previous five years in Zurich. He was most recently Head of Investment Management, International Locations, at that firm. 

Warren began his career at Schroders as a pan-Asian equity fund manager in London and Singapore. He then joined Standard Chartered, also in Singapore, as Head of Portfolio Management. He is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.

Marc Decker

Marc Decker

I have 24 years of experience; I started my career as portfolio manager at DWS Investments in 1999 in Frankfurt. Afterwards I served as a multi-asset portfolio manager at MEAG Munich Ergo AssetManagement GmbH in Munich. Following this, I was co-founder, senior portfolio manager and CSO at SKALIS Asset Management AG in Unterschleissheim, a multi-asset focused investment boutique.

I joined Quintet, Merck Finck in 2018. I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and is a CAIA Charter Holder.

I am an experienced fund and portfolio manager, with a special focus on multi-asset and German small and mid-caps. I am based in Munich at Merck Finck (MF), the group’s affiliate in Germany, where I manages the Rivertree Equity - German Mittelstand and is responsible for the MF endowment funds. I am also heading the MF Asset Management Team as well as the MF Competence Centers (CC) Equities and Fixed Income. I am a voting member in Merck Finck’s Investment Committee and part of the International Small & Mid Cap Fund Management team.

I have 30 years experience.

I joined predecessor Theodoor Gilissen in April 2014 as an analyst Dutch equities

I have a long career within the broking industry, started as an analyst in 1989 at Dutch bank MeesPierson, so some 34 years of experience. Also been Portfolio manager at Kempen & co, and experience with working in an international equities team (at HSBC the Amsterdam office and at MeesPierson but this cooperation failed); not an easy task sometimes with quirky economists!

Lionel Balle

Lionel Balle

Lionel is Head of Fixed Income leading a team focusing on fixed income recommendation for the whole Group.
He has 18 years of experience in the fund industry. Previously, he oversaw all fixed-income fund management activities for Quintet Private Bank and coordinated strategic asset allocation for Group bond funds. Prior to that, he managed a large range of fixed-income strategies - from money market to high yield.

Lionel joined the Group in 2008. He holds a Master's degree in Banking, Finance and Insurance from the University of Paris X Nanterre La Défense and holds an ICMA International Fixed Income and Derivatives Certificate.

Fabrice Todeschini

Fabrice Todeschini

Fabrice heads the Global Structured Solutions and OTC Derivatives activities at Quintet in the heart of  dealing room. Within the ICS function, his role is to coordinate the supply of structured products across the group, while ensuring product compliance in each country.

He previously worked as a fixed income, equity and derivatives trader at Quintet and in several banks and is a CeFA charter holder.

Paul Linssen

Paul Linssen

Paul heads the fund selection activities at Quintet. He previously worked as a portfolio manager of the equity fund portfolio and as a fund analyst for equity funds at InsingerGilissen. Prior to that role, he was a portfolio manager of European equities and started as an equity analyst at the Belgian Bank Degroof Petercam.
