Brown Shipley strengthens Investment Office with two new senior hires

Brown Shipley, experts in wealth planning, investment management and lending, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Scammell as Fixed Income & Macro Strategist and Amish Patel as Senior Equity Analyst. Both David and Amish join Brown Shipley’s growing Investment Office, headed by Toby Vaughan, Chief Investment Officer.

David joins the business with a wealth of experience across the financial sector having spent 25 years working in fixed income markets.  His career has included roles with the Bank of England, Central Bank of Finland and the Bank for International Settlements; as well as senior positions at the United Bank of Kuwait, Schroders and Santander Asset Management.

Amish, an experienced Senior Equity Research Analyst, joins the Direct Equity team within the Investment Office.  His 10 years’ experience, focussing on stock selection and equity portfolio management, has been gained at firms including Janus Henderson Global, Quilter Cheviot and Talisman Global.

Commenting on the appointments, Toby Vaughan, Chief Investment Officer, Brown Shipley said: “I am delighted that David and Amish are joining our Investment Office. Their appointments are part of our continued focus on enhancing our investment offering for clients via the addition of dedicated specialists to complement the existing skill set of the team.”

The new appointments are the latest in a series of strategic senior hires following the appointment of new Head of Direct Equity, Amrendra Sinha, in January, and Cyrique Bourbon, as an Asset Allocation Strategist in April.
