Brown Shipley appoints Paul Williams as Head of Compliance

London; 10 March 2025: Brown Shipley, a Quintet Private Bank, today announces the appointment of Paul Williams as Head of Compliance, based in London.

Williams, who succeeds Kelvin Clough, has a breadth of product, compliance and conduct experience gained over the past 20 years at firms including GE Money, Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC. His skillset expands across retail, wealth management, and commercial banking businesses.

Most recently, Williams was Group Head of Wholesale Conduct and Standards at HSBC responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of HSBC’s conduct framework. He previously served as UK Head of Compliance for their retail businesses and Commercial Banking.

Williams reports to Robert Kitchen, Brown Shipley Chief Executive, and Simon Spilsbury, Quintet Group Head of Compliance.
